Our Vision:

PPBA proudly presents its manifesto for the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) elections (2024-2026). Our vision is to lead a transformative agenda for the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry, driving economic growth, innovation, and inclusivity. As your representatives, we are committed to advocating for the business community’s needs, fostering a conducive environment for all enterprises, and setting new benchmarks for the chamber’s effectiveness and member engagement.

         1. Advocacy and Representation 

• Policy Advocacy: We will be your strongest voice at local, regional, and national levels, championing policies that prioritize the business community’s interests and remove barriers to success.
• Collaboration: By fostering partnerships with government bodies, industrial bodies and community organizations, we will address common challenges and promote collective growth.
• Sectoral/Market wise Representation: We are committed to ensuring fair and balanced representation ofall sectors, including manufacturing, services, agriculture, technology, and small businesses. We will work to address the unique challenges faced by each sector and ensure that all voices are heard within the chamber.

        2. Economic Development

• Promote Local Industries & Protect Local Businesses: We will advocate for policies that support and protect local industries, including providing incentives for manufacturing, Agri-based services, and small businesses.
• Research and Development: We will prioritize R&D initiatives to drive economic reforms, provide support and foster innovation in the business community. By developing Research & Development center, we aim to support the government as well as industries for staying competitive in the global market.
• Infrastructure Development: We commit to working towards enhancing infrastructure such as roads, utilities, and connectivity to improve business efficiency and attract new investment.
• Export-Oriented Policies: The ever-increasing influx of our Pakistani Market Sectors make it as such that Export-Friendly Policies are needed for the businessman in order to breathe and as such the Lahore Chamber will make Export and Export Policies one of its top priorities.
• Skill Development: Our focus will include establishing training programs and partnerships with educational institutions to equip the workforce with the necessary skills for modern industries.
• Special Focus on Commercial Hubs: We will pay special attention to the economic centers and commercial hubs of Lahore, facilitating business by advocating for improved market conditions, construction of parking plazas and eradicating encroachments.

         3. Improving Business Environment

• Regulatory Reforms: We aim to simplify regulatory processes and reduce bureaucratic hurdles, making it easier to start and grow businesses in Lahore. Tax Reforms: We aim to advocate to simplify and minimize tax and tariff policy with a stable tax and tariff structure to promote investment and growth. The business community needs a clear and consistent tax policy with low taxes, tariffs and convenient documentation.
• Investment Promotion: Our goal is to attract both domestic and foreign investment through targeted promotional campaigns and advocating for investor-friendly policies.
• Ease of Doing Business: Advocating for a Regulatory Environment which is conducive to the starting andoperating of businesses.
• Policy Rate: Strongly advocate to reduce Interest rate to single Digit-which will encourage both consumer spending and business investment.
• Utility Cost: Strongly advocate for reducing electricity costs to lower production expenses and achieve regional parity in term of cost of production and become competitive in the international market.

         4. Sustainability and Innovation

• Digital Transformation: We will promote digital literacy and infrastructure development to enable businesses to leverage technology, enhancing growth and efficiency.
• Establishment of IT Cell: To realize the true potential of the IT Sector a specific IT cell will be established to assist the business so the center aims to offer practical solutions that enhance commerce and support business digitalization, providing high-quality information systems to help members modernize and compete globally.
• Green Initiatives: We will encourage sustainable practices within the business community and support the adoption of eco-friendly technologies.
• Innovation Hub: Our plan includes the creation of an innovation hub to drive entrepreneurship, research, and development in emerging sectors, making LCCI a center of innovation.

         5. Setting New Standards for LCCI

• Transparency and Accountability: Our alliance promises full transparency in chamber operations, ensuring accountability through regular communication and feedback mechanisms with our members.
• Networking and Events: Organizing events, fairs and networking opportunities will be a key focus, aimed at knowledge sharing among members and attracting more attention to productive aspects of LCCI.
• Member Services: We plan to enhance member services to improve access to business tools, resources and advisory services, ensuring that every member has the support needed to thrive.
• Corporate Social Responsibility: We will promote social responsibility initiatives that contribute positively to the welfare of our community.
• Ending Nepotism: To ensure merit based representation at every forum of LCCI without prejudice.

         6. Focus on Entrepreneurs

• Women Entrepreneurs: Ensuring equal access to resources and platforms for women entrepreneurs will be a priority, along with promoting equality, protection, and safe spaces within the business community.
• Youth: We will prioritize support for young entrepreneurs in Lahore, helping them navigate a competitive environment and addressing the challenges they face.
• Resource Networking: Our commitment includes making LCCI a hub for networking and resource connections, crucial for entrepreneurial growth and development.
